Java

It is an object-oriented programming language that is platform independent it is the #1 programming languages from years. It was originally developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems in the year 1995, It was initially called as “oak” which is named after oak tree which stood outside Goslings office later it went by the name called Green hence it was named as JAVA. It follows a principle called “WORA” which means Write Once, Run Anywhere. The primary goals of java are “simple, object oriented, robust, secure and high performance”. In 1998 Java’s speed of execution was increased with the use of Just-in-compilation. The design goal of Java  is its portability which can run on any platforms without any changes. In 2006 Java was released as free and open source software.

Java is widely used on the Web for both client and server processing. It is used to develop several applications for the systems as well as embedded devices like mobile, laptops, tablets and many more.  The main feature is that is uses stack allocation for data storing and using. It is a great language for beginners to start out with, and language of choice for developing applications. Java uses “Garbage collector” to manage memory. The first Web browsers to run Java were Sun's HotJava and Netscape Navigator 2.0. The programs written in java are very small because it already contains built in library functions and hence consumes less memory space. Java is used in many real world applications like android apps which is an open source and offers better performance. It is also Used for developing games such as Dr.Pacman, Animal circus etc. It is also used in desktop applications like Eclipse, net beans etc for programmers. Java are used for storages such as in Hadoop, Bigdata. It is a default choice in scientific applications. Java is also big on E commerce and web application space. It is capable of providing High Performance Computing. Java is used as server side applications without using any front end which receives data from one server and processes it to other server. E.g. Networking and browsing sites like opera mini, Mail from Google are one of the popular applications developed using java.

It is important for information technology industry to develop and create multiple web-based or server based applications to enhance the industrial competency. In industries java applications are maintained from desktops through intranet or internet and are limited to remote monitoring. Java is the language of business applications, used at basically every single financial services institution for back end systems, portals, trading systems, market engines, online banking, etc. It's the primary language of development for telco systems, ecommerce (eBay, Amazon, etc.), insurance applications, etc.

JAVA programming enables secure and high performance software development on multiple platforms. Many companies in India have well-qualified software engineers having expertise in Java.
